In 2024, Slavica Stamatović Vučković and Danilo Bulatović launched the initiative to establish Docomomo Montenegro Chapter, subsequently instituted at the Docomomo Conference in Santiago, Chile in December 12, 2024. Today, the Chapter has 19 active members.

Slavica Stamatović Vučković is a full professor at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Montenegro, where she has been employed since 2004. She received her master’s degree from the University “La Sapienza” in Rome and her doctorate from the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade. She received numerous foreign scholarships and has exhibited at domestic and international exhibitions. She is the author of the monograph Architectural Communication: Cultural Centers in Montenegro 1945-2000 (University of Montenegro, 2018), the book Monuments of the Second World War in Montenegro (Expeditio, Kotor, 2020), as well as numerous chapters and scientific research papers published in domestic and foreign journals and publications. She participated in the XI Biennale of Architecture in Venice in 2008. She is among the winners of the 13 July Award (2009), the highest state award in Montenegro.

Danilo Bulatović is a doctoral candidate at the Polytechnic University of Turin, in the Architecture. History and Design program. He completed his Bachelor and Specialization studies at the University of Montenegro, Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica. As a scholarship holder of the Italian and British governments, he completed his master’s studies at the Polytechnic University of Milan (2021) and the University of Westminster in London (2022). He is a Fellow at the Davis Center at Harvard (2024/25), as part of his doctoral research on the topic of international knowledge exchange in the field of planning and architecture within the framework of the United Nations development programs during the second half of the 20th century.
